(2) For MLA’s – Transsexualism: The Inside Story
This brief guide was designed specifically for MP’s in the UK and will be of interest and assistance to MLA’s in Northern Ireland. It provides a brief description of transsexualism and is designed to tackle uninformed opinions and misconceptions. It aims to promote the understanding that Gender Dysphoria is not a mental illness, and to explain some of the complexity of variation in gender identity.
(1) Guidelines for Health organizations commissioning treatment services for trans people
The Parliamentary Forum for Gender Identity has produced these guidelines to assist commissioners to make appropriate decisions in respect of providing funding for all aspects of the treatment required by people experiencing any degree of gender dysphoria.
