In an article on BBC News concerning hate crime in Wales, transgender builder Samantha Bowler gives an interview about her experiences of hate crime owing to her transition to female after being born male.  She describes the changes in her life, in her treatment by others, and her on-going experiences of hate crime which, despite excellent support from the police, have left her in fear for her own safety.  Samantha’s interview features on the BBC News as part of a wider report on hate crime in Wales which describes it as still a ‘daily reality’ for people living there.
